Dear Fang, with Love – Rufi Thorpe is one in all my favourite authors, and this early e book of hers – about a woman going by a breakdown and her father who decides to take her to Europe – is genius. But the opposite half of the e-book is a real mess. It’s a real really feel-good victory lap, and it’s a terrific send-off for the characters, as unhappy as it is that the story by no means obtained to complete onscreen. I knew this was an audio play of an Alien story going into it. I’m certain there are issues going on allegorically – this is about in 1850s colonial Australia, and there are some references to human dominance and destruction of the natural world – but I used to be largely engrossed in the story itself, and the heartbreaking climax. There are no guidelines as to what you want to wear for profitable boat intercourse, however some attire might make issues too much easier than others.
